How to increase connection to your soul:
This “technology” is user-friendly, free and it will change your life by bringing you greater peace, creativity, balance, presence, appreciation and joy. Here’s how to start optimizing your soul today.

1) Slow Down

Start with ten minutes a day, and sit down somewhere comfortable where you can be alone and quiet without your phone, music, books, food or even your yoga practice to distract you – literally sit and do nothing.

That’s it. Just you, and the genuine desire to connect with something deep inside of you.

2) Set an Intention

Here’s an extremely powerful, valuable tip I discovered for connecting with the soul: Speak your intention aloud. For example:

“May I connect with my soul’s deepest desire”
“I am open and willing to receive”
These intentions are powerful, and really work.

3) Listen Deeply

The soul is quiet and rarely communicates through words. The language of the soul is symbols, and its energy connects with ours through emotion.

Pay attention to what you hear, see and feel, both during the quiet time, but especially throughout the weak. The messages are usually subtle, so pay attention to everything, and especially to anything you might be tempted to disregard as your “imagination.”

4) Let Go of Limitations

Part of this process of opening up the soul is releasing your preconceived notions about who you think you are, and why you think you’re here. Pretend that you don’t have a clue, that you’re not already a lawyer, an accountant or a housewife.

Forget how old you are or what the balance is in your bank account. The soul is not confined by time and space, so age and circumstances are meaningless. Try returning to the bliss of being six-years-old, where all things are possible and your dreams are limitless.

5) Be Patient – Persistently

The more you practice getting in touch with your soul, the clearer the messages will become. Remember, the soul wants nothing more than its messages to emerge. The more you respect your internal life, the more it will speak to you. Practice connecting with it everyday, and you’ll be richly rewarded by its deeply comforting presence.

6) Respect What You Receive

Remembering that the soul speaks in symbols, take note of any messages you receive from a conversation, in books when a certain sentence speaks to you, or if you notice a particular pattern in the clouds. Give your inner skeptic a week off and try not to minimize or ridicule you experience. “Miracles” are what we see when we climb out of our limitations and expand our vision.

7) Feed Your Soul

In addition to the above tips, my final one would be to nourish your inner life. Take walks in nature, appreciate beauty and start creating or enjoying art, poetry and anything else that inspires and nurtures the soul.
